Competition Overview

The Ultimate Selling Experience

The 2026 National Sales Challenge provides the Ultimate Selling Experience. In an in-person meeting environment, the competition challenges student competitors to sell themselves on why they should get hired for a professional sales role during the Speed Selling Competition. The Role-Play Competition will challenge student competitors to showcase their skills by conducting Sales Call Meetings. Students will leave with an all-inclusive selling experience and develop new soft and tech skills to prepare for the future of professional selling.

Role-Play Competition

During Round 1, Round 2, and the Final Round of the Role-Play Competition, student competitors conduct a fifteen-minute Sales Call Meeting. Competition judges evaluate and score the sales meeting based on the provided role-play criteria.

  • All student competitors will compete in Round 1, and the top 30 students will compete in Round 2 of the role-play competition. The top four student competitors advance to the Final Round based on their combined Round 1 and Round 2 scores.
  • Student alternates will not participate in the role-play competition. They will be on standby if they are needed to replace a teammate.
  • All role-plays will take place in-person. Student contestants will receive a schedule in advance and must arrive at their designated meeting room fifteen minutes before their scheduled time slot.
  • Each contestant will be evaluated based on what transpired during the session.
  • Only judges and National Sales Challenge assistants may enter the evaluation area.
  • Prepare visual aids before each role-play session; they may be used during the role-play. No additional time will be allotted to create visual aids during the scheduled role-play time.
  • Information regarding each role-play is confidential. Sharing this information with other contestants is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule may result in elimination from the competition.
